Breastfeeding and Basal Body Temp

Is anybody else breastfeeding and tracking their Basal Body Temp? I started AF 3 weeks ago and I've been trying to track my BBT but my temps are all over the place. I'm just wondering if that is normal when your breastfeeding. I can't even tell by my temps if I even ovulated because they've been so wacky.

Re: Breastfeeding and Basal Body Temp

I didn't even try to temp because I was up so frequently for night wakings. Are you getting a solid stretch of sleep most nights? I'm not sure if breastfeeding itself would mess with your temps.

I found that keeping a close eye on my CM and watching for O pains was really accurate for me. Then as we got really actively into TTC I added in OPKs, but it always went right along with my CM/O pains. I know none of those things confirm ovulation, but I was sure temping wasn't going to work out for me.

I hope you get it figured out!

Some night Jacob sleeps through the night and some nights he doesn't so I figured on the nights that he doesn't sleep through the night my temps would be way off. I just wasn't sure if breastfeeding itself did anything to your temps.
