I don't know what to do.

I called my OB this morning like she told me to do. Then she tells me "We don't want to see you until 6/7 weeks to start to the Lovenox assuming we see a heartbeat." But I won't make it that far. I feel so defeated and deflated. I don't know what to do or where to turn.

The deal was the day I find out I'm pregnant I call, she seems me and I see the high risk guy but I start Lovenox right away and now she's changing it. And now I don't know what I'm supposed to do?? My baby won't make it that far. :(

Did you call the high risk? Call her back! Tell her if was your understanding that you needed lovenox to make it to 6 or 7 weeks.

Re: I don't know what to do.

I told the nurse that and she just said "this is what the dr felt was best."

I won't make it that far. I just know I won't. I never do. I want to say a whole bunch of terrible words to get across how terrible I feel but I know that won't help.

Can you go around her and call the high risk Dr to see what they say??

Re: I don't know what to do.

I have a message into him. Along with another dr all together to see what they say. I am also hoping to get my beta and progesterone done today. We'll see.

Good!! Glad you called him. KUP!

That's terrible I'm so sorry. I would mention how waiting that long would give you way too much anxiety and tell them you want to get your betas drawn whether they think it's necessary or not. That way you can get a script for your meds while you're there. Good luck, I really hope someone listens to you!! Sending hugs.

Thanks ladies. I am feeling so hopeless and crushed. I just want to know this baby is okay and to do everything I can to try and finally get to have my rainbow baby.

Big hugs to you. Good for you for doing everything you can to advocate for yourself and your baby.

I'm so sorry! I'd definitely call around and try to find someone that will work with you. I can't believe a doctor would do that without consulting you!

Hugs. Hang in there. I'd probably call another doctor also.

Any updates??

Re: I don't know what to do.

Nothing too great to report. I was able to get my appointment bumped to next Monday so I just have to make it to then and hope I can get the medicine and it doesn't impact baby waiting that long.

I did go in for a HCG check yesterday but I haven't heard the results. They flat out refused to check progesterone and told me "There is no reason to check it, if you're going to miscarry nothing we check will matter."

Here are my progression pictures though, I think it's promising. I hope anyway.

 that is so annoying!!!! they should be able to check your levels, it's not like it's going to hurt anything to do it.

I hope everything turns out perfectly for you, I'll be watching for updates!

Ugh, your doctors are making me so mad! Mine might admit they don't think it is going to matter, but if I wanted them to check my progesterone, they would check it. They at least have you on progesterone right? Lovenox is for clotting? If it makes you feel any better, clotting disorders don't usually cause issues until a little farther in the first trimester when the placenta is getting up and running. My doctor explained it that it has to do with the thicker blood not making it through the smaller vessels in the placenta to the baby. My best friend has that condition and had multiple miscarriages around the 9 - 11 week time period because of it. I'll have to ask her when they started her on medication for her successful pregnancies. Have they tested you for clotting disorders? I lost all 4 of my babies between 6 - 9 weeks and was tested but didn't have any issues and was told at that early in the game, it was more likely an issue with the actual egg and implantation and not me.

Re: I don't know what to do.

I think I might be finding another dr. You are already on progesterone right? If not then I would think your dr would want to check the progesterone to make sure it was high enough to sustain a pregnancy. I was put on progesterone because my dr said that he wanted to do everything possible to give this baby a chance.

I'm just so pissed at your dr right now. don't they have any understanding about what it is like to lose a baby and how hard a pregnancy after a loss is. I hope everything goes ok until Monday when you can get in and see dr but I seriously think I might be doing some dr shopping.

I got my first HCG back- it was drawn on 12dpo and it was 100! That's the highest any of mine have been. My last 3 losses were at like 12, 25 and I can't remember the other. All really low!

Glad your number was so great. Stick baby stick!! I'm praying that all goes well until you can get in and see the dr.

100 is a great number! I'm so glad that is looking good.

I wanted to echo Leanne- I don't have a clotting disorder, but when I first met with my RE over the summer, as he was giving an overview of all the possible issues/treatments, he said that if lovenox was necessary, it's something that he usually starts around 7-8 weeks. An MFM specialist told me something similar, too. Everyone is different, of course. Lovenox is not something I have any experience with, and I'm sorry I don't remember your full history. But there is a good chance that everything will be okay, even if you do need lovenox.

My fingers, toes, arms, and legs are all crossed for you! Stay strong, mama!

Re: I don't know what to do.

Thanks ladies!!! I have MTHFR and since I have both genes they said that Lovenox would be the best route to go. My OB originally said that she wanted to start it right away but now she's saying that she wants my high risk doctor to be my primary care, which I suppose is fine. I developed issues at the end of my last successful pregnancy where my dd wasn't moving, was failing NST's and BPP's and when they delivered her she had a softball size clot in the placenta. We didn't know about the MTHFR at that time, it seemed like a fluke but now it makes sense.

I am feeling better about waiting until Monday to see him and I'll have an ultrasound done, which I am sure will just be a sac/blob but still seeing anything is better than nothing!
