What are you reading? December

Sorry I realize it's already the middle of the month! :sneak:

I finally finished reading One Thousand Acres by Jane Smiley. It only took me a month. :p

I started reading Smokin' Seventeen by Janet Evanovich. Her books are usually quick and easy reads so hopefully it'll break me out of my reading funk! :o

Great to see you, Lesha! The Janet Evanovitch books are awesome. So funny! But Smokin' Seventeen was just okay for me. It was like she was being outrageous just for being outrageous sake, ya know?

How is the book? I've been thinking about reading this, yet at the same time I don't want to..... I listened to Room by Emma Donaghue which is a fictional story which was already hard to get through. I'm afraid I would have difficulty with something that happened for real.

I'm still reading light hearted books - Bedeviled Eggs by Laura Childs. It's okay, just something to read. I like her teashop series much better.

It's good so far. Not good that it happened obviously, but it's making me think and have to digest some disturbing facts. At the end of each chapter, she has a reflection about the preceding chapter and it's great to see how well she is healing from it.

I read Room also, and I agree that it was hard to get through. I have a feeling the rest of this book will be hard to get through.

Reading Wild Magic by Tamora Pierce to my son and A Kiss in Time by Alex Flinn for myself.

Alex Flinn is the woman who wrote Beastly which was made into a movie.

The boys and I are reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I just bought The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan and haven't started reading it yet, but I will.
