Books you've always meant to read....

Do you have any books that you've always wanted to read but for whatever reason never got around to it?

Definitely!

Offhand, Mein Kampf and Wuthering Heights are a couple of books that I've wanted to read but I have never gotten around to it. The Red Tent and The Help have been on my TBR list for the last couple of years but I haven't gotten around to reading those either.

Oh, I read The Fountainhead. Not really my choice of reading, but when I was in HS, I saw that I could possibly get a scholarship for reading The Fountainhead. Unfortunately, I did not finish the book by the deadline but I was pleasantly surprised that I actually really enjoyed the book. Didn't they make a movie out of The Fountainhead? I think I saw it once when I was channel surfing, but the glimpse of it did not make me want to watch the movie. I didn't want to ruin the images I had in my head.....

I want to say there was a movie with Gary Cooper but I'm not positive :p

Oh you're good! It was made into a movie with Gary Cooper, Patricia Neal and Raymond Massey. It looks like Ayn Rand wrote the screenplay so it shouldn't be too bad. Maybe one rainy day.....
