Infuriating Assumption from family

Well-meaning Relative: "Doesn't it make the miscarriage pain just go away now that you have your precious baby?"

Sensitive me: No. It doesn't. The pain of losing two babies is still very real and very vibrant in my heart.

I am 100% sure how fortunate I am to have a son. But it hurts painfully when someone assumes that the birth of my AMAZING SON negates the previous pain of losing two babies.

It doesn't make it go away. I still think about and talk two Liam's older siblings constantly. I know they're thriving in Heaven with their great-grandmothers.

But the pain and the reality of the losses does not disappear. Ugh this is a negative post -- sorry about that.

No need to apologize. Your relative has obviously never lost a child. It's not something you ever get over. Nor can they be replaced. :dothug: I'm ticked for you!

HUGS! Some people need that brain mouth filter checked, obviously the "I'm an idiot" fail safe malfunctioned.

(((hugs))) Comments from people who've never walked in our shoes amaze me.
