Re: night time in a BG OS

Doubling MF inserts doesn't work for us, leaks plus it makes the diaper really bulky.

I use one MF insert (regular size, LO is 5.5 months) and a folded-over Gdiaper flushable at the back.

Re: I've got to stop buying diapers

Fuzzibunz is having a sale? Where?? I don't see it on their website. I could really use another couple of FBOS.

Re: When did

Somebody gave me Dr Sears' Baby Book when I was pregnant. I think I would have been pretty AP anyway but I had never heard the term before that.

Interestingly I gave the same book to a friend of...

Re: Your Up-Bringing?

I think of my parents as somewhat more AP types than not but now that I have my own kid, I'm surprised by some of the things my mom tells me about stuff she did when we were babies. I guess I am...

Re: Do you sing to your LO?

I sing to my LO exclusively in Greek. She likes everything but is less a fan of nursery rhymes than 'big-people' songs - she loves heavy tragic ballads, go figure. Her favorite song is called,...

Re: Gdiapers / GroBabies / Can you make something similar?

I would wonder if a prefold would move around too much since it wouldn't snap into the Grobaby shell.

You could probably use a prefold in a little Gpant (should be the same idea as using their...

Re: New Here- BFing & Weight with Newborns

Can you do a Lact-Aid? I never did but I kind of wish I had. I think it saves a lot of time over pumping and bottle-feeding (bc you get your stimulation at the same time as the baby gets the...

Re: Gotta do it... supplementing

I'm having the same problem but I have pretty much come to terms with it.

The first ounce of formula is the hardest one and frequently seems to come salted with mommy's tears. :(

For a while...

Re: trying to make my decision on a CD

I think I wrote in your other thread but here I am again! :)

I don't use them, but I think prefolds (and flats) are used with a separate waterproof cover. You don't have to wash the cover if it...

Re: Need some help with CDing.. :)

I was just like you - wanted to CD but didn't want all the laundry since I am a WOHM.

I started out with the Gdiapers. Honestly I did not like the system.
- The flushable insert is a huge PITA...

Re: Dumb Question

I mostly use the snap-ins (we have the Softbums system where you only change the cover if it gets dirty). I always unsnap them bc that way I can launder the inserts separately from the covers. ...

Fuzzibunz OS vs PF?

I'm still looking for a good pocket dipe for overnight. Leakage (mostly up the back) has been an ongoing problem.

I see a lot of people like Fuzzibunz so I was going to buy one to try. From the...

Re: Rocky Mountain Diaper

I've been using microfiber and mf/hemp inserts from BG and Gdiapers. They all work fine.

I love the adjustable leg elastics on the RMD but I think I am going to stop using these diapers for...

Re: couple of questions :)

Milk dries up when it is not being used. When the baby does not take all your milk, your breasts will make less and less until it is gone.

If you are supplementing without also pumping every...

Re: Bravado Original Nursing Bra

I love the Original Nursing Bra too. I don't have any problem with doing/undoing the snaps one-handed either. I'm thinking about getting a couple more.

I don't like the tank quite as much....

Just coming back to this thread to say THANKS for the tip to the SoftBums! They are PERFECT.

beck12 - thanks! that is so encouraging, I am glad to hear from someone who has been there. Sometimes I feel like every other mom out there has an oversupply and just doesn't get it.

I think you...

Re: Help! Blow-outs. (Pics with poo shown)

SoftBums maybe? My trial Softbums is still in the mail so IDK but supposedly they have an elastic string in the leg hole that is adjustable to your baby.

Re: facecloths for cloth wipes?

I got some cloth wipes in now but before that I was using a stack of baby washcloths someone gave us. I'd never used them for actually washing her but they worked great as tushy wipes. :)
