Re: My Working Mommas!

I also just get 6 weeks of short term disability paid at 66 2/3%. I can supplement that with my PTO/ET for full pay. I can be off up to 12 weeks, so the second 6 weeks are without short term...

Re: My Working Mommas!

Re: OT My son broke my heart last night

It sounds like the coming home for a little while and then leaving is the hard part on the kids. Once they get used to him being home, then it is time for him to go again.
My husband is here, but...

Re: BTDT: Children in the delivery room

That pretty much describes my daughter. Even when we told her I was pregnant, she didn't believe me--she needed proof. My 5 week ultrasound pic wasn't enough for her because it didn't look like...

Re: Birth announcements, anyone?

I did my own announcements last time. I like the postcard idea, but only if it didn't have my return address on it. I will probably do 5x7's again--I had a couple small photos on it and one main...

Question BTDT: Children in the delivery room

My daughter will be 4.5 when the baby is born. She was to the point that she was asking so many questions and coming up with more questions from the answers I was giving her about how baby would get...

Re: Nervous!

I try to balance everything out--if I'm going to have a busy day, I don't plan anything else so I have time to rest and plan to have the next day as a more relaxing day.

Re: Comfy or cute?

I had a cute outfit for DD--but she was to big for it, so the pants were on the short side (it was a newborn size). This time it will be cute/comfy. Something along the lines of the white gown...

Re: Stocking Up?

I didn't want to be stuck with a bunch of random diapers that didn't work for baby or have packs of diapers left when baby was ready to move to the next size or wipes that baby a rash, so I put...

Re: Pajamas?

I wear nightgowns at home (more comfortable) but when I was on vacation a few weeks ago I wore regular pajama pants and a t-shirt. I wore a robe if I was going to be around others before I was...

Hugs! Hope all comes back ok.
Did you have the nuchal translucency test done earlier? I'm all for being prepared too. Good luck with the amnio.

Re: OT - Friend Store?

I made a friend in my neighborhood--she saw my walking with my daughter and approached me. She had since moved a few miles away, but we still see each other. Her daughter is the same age as mine....

Re: My face is just ew.

Yes! I recently bought the tea tree oil products from The Body Shop. (Realized after I got home there is not much research on it in pregnancy, but found several sites that said it was ok for a...

Re: Is this too girly for a boy?

The pink jumped out at me, but even though it will be you wearing it, people tend to look for gender clues. As a baby, my daughter was in her green stroller. She was wearing a blue and white...

Re: No idea about baby sizes, bought random stuff

My daughter was in 6 month clothes by 4 months. She was too long for newborn clothes at birth.

Re: Breastfeeding and food...

When you BF, you actually need to maintain a normal intake of food--if you begin to diety, it can decrease your milk supply.
You can have alcohol--if you are drunk, you need to pump and dump. ...

Limit your trips to save gas. Plan your errands to decrease back tracking.

Re: MIL's reaction to gender news X-posted

I hope she feels blessed that you are having another...
