Re: Appt today

Re: BTDT moms who did NOT have an epidural...

No pain meds or epidural here other than the laughing gas to get me from 9cm to 10cm. I pushed for nearly 2 hours and ended up with a 3rd degree tear. It must have happened when the shoulders came...

Re: Ins and Outs of Car Seats

Car seats will have weight limits, but they also have height limits which might not be as obvious. I believe the general rule is that babies head should be at least an inch from the top edge of the...

Re: Ughhh

I've heard that cranberry juice can help in the early stages of infection... don't know why, or if it's even true, but it might be worth a try if you like the taste . Hope that everything...

Re: Blood Pressure

I have a bit of "white coat hypertension", so my Dr. takes my blood pressure at the end of the appt. once we've heard the baby's HB and I'm nice and calm. It's always a fair bit higher at the...

Anybody making their own yogurt?

Anybody else making their own yogurt? I finally tried it this past winter after years of being told how easy it was to do by friends and family. And then I was totally shocked how easy and cheap it...

Re: Easy "fruit salad"

mmmm! I love fruit cut up in yogurt, and have it almost every morning! One of my favourite combos is a banana with fresh pineapple, and dried shaved coconut. The best part about it is that my...

Re: How often do you get up at night?

4-6 times per night! Do I get a prize?! I don't think it's the urge to pee that's getting me up, it's more likely my snoring husband, my toddler stirring, or a yappy dog! I'm a light sleeper and...

Re: Schedules!

I'm a bit of a planner and list maker, so I have a daily list of errands, I make a menu plan at the beginning of the week, and I've organized my cleaning so it's just a bit each day (i.e. bathroom on...

Re: Hands down best hummus EVER! (you're welcome to post a challenge!!!)

I pretty much always use the liquid from the can since I often don't have broth on hand. Not all of it though, about 1/4 cup's worth. Hope you like it!

Re: Hands down best hummus EVER! (you're welcome to post a challenge!!!)

I buy it at my regular grocery store (Safeway, Save-on, Thrifty's... here in Canada). The difficulty is finding where they keep it! It comes in a jar, and is either in the same isle as peanut...
