Re: First day of school

School doesn't start here for another couple weeks, but I am already missing my biggest boy. I can't believe how long kindergarten is! I remember only going for half the day. I am so worried that...

Re: Last thing you said

To DH: "Love you, have a wonderful day."

To kids: "He loves you so much!" to Gabe in reference to his baby brother smiling at him while he talks to him. And "Would you like a banana?" to my...

Re: At 3:30am

Sleeping! Sam is usually up at 1am and 4am to eat. But this morning I think he was up at 2am and 5:30am to eat instead.

Re: Crumb controversy

I seriously just got done watching a clip about all that before I came here. Honestly, I think owners need to recognize the fact that if they welcome families to their establishments, there's a...

Re: I need advice and support

I am also a huge supporter of breastfeeding, but then I have never personally had any huge problems with it. I would support a mother's sanity over her ability to breastfeed any day. Your baby will...

Re: What size?

Sammy's been in 0-3 for 2 or so weeks now. He's a little over 6 weeks. My babies never seem to fit into newborn clothes for very long. I weighed him a week or so ago, he weighed roughly 12lbs already!

Re: Monday check in

I'm here, and doing wonderfully! I didn't think parenting three kids was going to be an easy transition for me, and while it's not easy, it's not the nightmare I thought it might be.

Sam loves to...

Re: Homemade babyfood maker

I still have the food processor I used to make my first's baby food. With singular vegetables or fruits, I would just make a larger batch and freeze in ice cube trays, so easy. Just thaw in the...

Re: I say "Hospitalization" like it's a good thing.

I am so sorry you have to go through this, but I am so glad that everything is being figured out. I will be praying that his eating problems are solved very soon so he can go back home!

^^ Same for me.

I do kind of want to try for number 4 one day, but I just don't know if I can handle 4 of them!

Re: My baby is deaf in one ear

I just wanted to add, that I got a cochlear implant when I was 14. It's not exactly like a cochlear implant you see everyday, because I actually have a birth defect. I actually don't like wearing it...

Re: Unsolicited advice - just a vent

So far the only thing I've gotten is on Sunday my aunt told me she thinks Sam has thrush, because his tongue is whitish towards the back of his mouth. He has milk tongue, no lesions, nothing, he's...

Re: cradle cap

I use the oil trick too. It doesn't really matter what kind. The brush is good, too, but Sammy gets irritated by it really quick. Earlier this week I noticed it building up, so I just slathered him...

Re: My baby is deaf in one ear

I was actually born with a defect to my left ear and lack an eardrum and even a canal. I've never known any different, so it doesn't bother me at all. I might say "What?" more than the average...

Re: Thinking about

I think that's an awesome idea! I plan on doing it as well. I'm going to start doula classes when Sam is 6 or so months old, and later work on a LC certification.

Re: Oversupply

I always have problems with over supply. I think I may need to try block feeding also. So far it's been going pretty well with Sam, I haven't had too many issues, but today I am feeling really...

Re: Are you guilty?

I must give Sammy a kiss every time I pick him up! They're so sweet I can't help myself. I kiss my older boys all day long, too. Gotta get my lovin' in while they'll still let me. Sometimes we play a...

Re: how much does your husband or so help at night.

He doesn't wake up much at night. He will if I ask him, but I'd rather not bother him when he's got to work in the morning. I'll ask him to change his diaper every now and then. Last night Sam was...

Re: Sleeping style?

Same is fairly content to sleep where ever. I always swaddle him up to sleep for the night in his playard, though, and I think that makes a big big difference. He also doesn't spit up much, so...

Re: Eyes and hair

So far Sam has a full head of dark brown hair, but my oldest was born with dark brown hair and it came in a silvery blonde at 4 months. My second was born with blonde peach fuzz. Sam is my only baby...

I really have no advice. In the same boat here, too. My two older ones are almost constantly at each other's throat, when they're not and they're playing nice, it involves a ridiculous amount of...
