Re: New stash en route!

Yay on the stash!! You don't need to do any pretreatment or scraping before the rinse cycle as long as baby is EBF. I just tossed it all into the pail. No liners needed but those will save you...

Re: Buying used covers?

What sort of info would you like? I bought tons of used XS Thirsties covers and they were great. That's a size that doesn't get too much use. I would ask how long they were used and get lots of...

Re: Wrenny's cloth fashion show & stash pics(pic heavy lol)

Thanks! Yes those are the newborn size GMDs. They yellow edge should fit ok but not as well. I always recommend the newborns because they have so many uses later as well as fitting great from the...

Re: Dropping in & prefolds Q **update in OP**

Looks perfect to me!

I just bumped an old thread I made with my baby when she was itty bitty in prefolds. I think it looks similar :)

Re: Dropping in & prefolds Q

Babies at that age are meant to have their legs and hips spread apart with legs a bit up. That's why the old Snugli carriers were so bad. They were recalled because they forced the legs together...

Re: How many do I need?

With what I listed you should be fine with every 3 days. If you're worried get some flour sack towels at Walmart as back-up. They are 5 for $5 and work well. That or in a pinch you can always fold...

Re: Smell HELP!

Yes I use any Tide powder as long as it has no fabric softener. Scents and blue crystals and all of that are fine :)

Re: How many do I need?

If you are going with 6-12 BGs you probably only need 2 dozen newborn prefolds(I like GMD Clotheez) and 4-6 covers(I like Thristies XS w/ velcro). That'll get you through to what you have already. ...

Re: Smell HELP!

PLEASE switch to Tide! I have heard nothing but horror stories from RnG. I have been washing for over a year now with very little wear on my diapers. I wash on cold no detergent, wash on hot with...

Re: Bummis - Super Brite vs The Original Wrap

I'm not sure about those but I can say I love XS Thirsties covers. They have the leg gussets. My baby was 7lb 14 ozs and she was able to wear them for a couple of months with newborn prefolds. I...

Glad I could help :) It seems mostly everyone uses the dry pail out there.

Re: Cloth diaper and carseat?

I haven't noticed this myself because I never use disposables but I would just tighten lower/raise the rise if you have an easy seat or use the thinner diapers while out and about.

Re: Wet pail or dry pail?

I use a dry pail for many reasons. Let me list a few...
safety---wet pails can be a drowning risk
convenience---too heavy to fill and lug around a pail of wet diapers
wear on the diapers---maybe...

Re: Bum Genius 4.0 on a Newborn?

I would do newborn diapers or you may get discouraged with too big diapers that leak. Depending on babies size, the may last 1-4 months. I think 2 is average. I would go the easy route (and did)...

Re: Can I do this?

Good choice! I found myself getting so overwhelmed and scared and *** was I thinking before starting. I just jumped in and never looked back. Having hands on really helps you get the terminology...

Re: Can I do this?

I have a large variety of diapers in all types and ranges in price. That said, I would stay away from the g-diapers. My go to diaper is ALWAYS a prefold w/ a snappi and a Thristies duo cover. It's...

Re: Rash cream that is safe for cloth diapers.

Well I'm not sure which it was because I haven't had to use anything other than coconut oil. Could it have been EcoSprouts or Grovia magic stick?

Re: Question on newborn diapers.

Nope you should be fine. Mine was nearly 8 lbs and was in GMD newborn size for around 2 months. When I tried to switch up too early we had some poo out the side. I used XS Thirsties covers :) ...

Re: Staining?

The sun will take away all of that yellow staining in no time at all. You can even line them up in your car on the dash. Drying is not necessary. I live in CA and find they sun better in the...
