Re: Frontier for one year old

So DH adores the Frontier. Not in the price range, but he LOVED the latch install and that sold him. He didn't like the Pioneer. But that would probably work also. I didn't show him the maestro...

Re: Frontier for one year old

What about the Maestro? That one looked nice when I tried her in it. Nothing else really jumped out at me. The only con to that seat is they outgrow the booster with the harness - but we have...

Re: Frontier for one year old

Sorry if this doesn't make sense - I'm totally confused myself right now. I haven't done any research into carseats since I got the My Ride. Last car seat I bought was the Frontier 4 years ago...

Re: Frontier for one year old

The almost expired Alpha Omega exp 12/2014. Phew, I thought it was before July. She is actually on the 3rd harness height possition. I'm assuming she is 34 inches in order for the straps to be up...

Re: Frontier for one year old

My Ride - New buckle is ordered. 6-8 weeks to arrive. From what I read, the seat is still safe to use. That is one of her primary car seats. OK, I need some options for what to buy since...

Re: Frontier for one year old

Where did you find 34" for the My Ride? My manual just says the top 4 slots at or above the shoulders. She meets that requirement. The strap is very slightly above her shoulders. I think she has...

Frontier for one year old

Quick Question - I'm rarely on JM anymore, but wanted to get an opinion about this seat for my 20 month old.

I have her in an Alpha Omega Elite, but it was manufactured in 2007 so I think the exp...

Re: How did you feel?

I was about 5 cm for a week and half before DD was born. So I was not the happy camper with on/off contractions and half way there literally if the contractions would just keep going! After my last...

Re: Older children present at the birth?

We had every intention for DD to be present as much as she felt comfortable. In the end she wasn't there when the baby was actually born, but she rode with us in the car and our birth center has a...

Re: First-time mommy to be...unsure

I know this is kind of dated, but just wanted to add some thoughts.

I BF my first, and hated it. I kept going when I should have weaned because it was just too taxing on my well being. Part of...

Re: Anyone NOT co-sleep?

I Coslept with my first. Not the baby. We did a dream fed at 10, then fed on demand after. Usually woke once after that, then slept until her morning wake time. She dropped the dream fed around 3...

Re: Lets talk: Water-Birth!

I loved my water birth. I don't know about popularity or the type of tub my birth center used, except that it was wonderful!

The hospitals here have tubs, you can labor in them and that is it. ...

Re: lower supply - what to do?

I have tried to hand express some, but unless I'm very full that rarely works also.

I switched pumping spots. Instead of in bed, I've been sitting on the floor with my back against the wall (a...

Re: lower supply - what to do?

I am just so ready to give up pumping :(

I'm just terrified about how that will impact my supply. I don't want to give up nursing entirely, but I am very worried that if I stop pumping my supply...

Re: lower supply - what to do?

I work part time, but baby is with me. I do a mix of bottles and nursing. On a typical day she gets at least 1 4 oz bottle and 1-1.5 oz of milk mixed with cereal in the morning.

It might just be...

lower supply - what to do?

I am really unsure what steps I should take and would love some ideas and thoughts. Originally, I wasn't going to nurse at all. Each day is a milestone in my book and would be OK to stop tomorrow. ...

Re: Concerned about your pumping output?

Very interesting. I always wonder if my left side has a low supply, but maybe the storage capacity is smaller compared to my right. As baby doesn't seemed bothered.

Supply change due to AF

Af is back :( I thought I'd get to enjoy at least a few more months without her, but oh well.

I am having a very hard time pumping - soreness, little or no let down, reduced # of oz. Baby...

Re: Affordable breast pump for big chested women?

I'm the same size and use a medela pump in style without issues. The normal size (24mm) is perfect. I also used a manual pump without issues.

I am trying to go to bed earlier. The older one is the issue with going to bed earlier. We put both kids down at 8pm (DH reads to DD1, while I nurse DD2 and rock her). DD1 comes back out several...

Switching to EPing

How did you decided to switch to EPing?

I posted in the general BFing forum, but would love some advice and ideas here also.

It seems like a feeding issue. DD nurses or takes a bottle about...

Is this a feeding issue?

DD2 is 3 months old today. She's a very happy, easy going baby. BUT, her sleep is progressively getting worse. I'm a working mom and I need to sleep.

She eats during the day at: 6am, 8:30am...

Re: minor accidents

Are the manuals online? So what's the lesser evil in the mean time? Keep using the maxi cosi or use an expired chicco (rarely used, stored indoors).
