Re: How Much Swing Time?

Willow will sit in her swing for about 10 min max. She likes talking to the baby in the mirror that's above her head, but that doesn't last long. She's happiest being held or worn. I wear her a lot...

Re: Granola Mamas

I don't make my own deodorant. I've tried all of the natural deodorants that are available in stores, and none of them work for me, so I'm skeptical that a homemade version would. I use Dove...

Re: Swaddle vs. Sleep Sack

I tried to swaddle Willow for the first week and she hated it. So, for bed she's dressed in light weight cotton footed pajamas (or, a light weight gown with fleece booties on) and a sleeves sleep...

Re: Caffeine

I have a 2 year old too (who likes to wake up before 6 am), so I would not be fit to be around other people if I didn't ingest some form of caffeine. I have a big cup when I wake up, and another...

Re: Moby wearers...

I have a moby but have been using my woven wrap almost exclusively with Willow.

As far as holds and hips go, just make sure that your LO's knees are higher than their bum.

Re: BTDT Moms: Sleep and Sleep Regression

Funny- I'm experiencing something similar. My now 2 year old never slept more than 2 hours at a time until she was about 13 months old. Willow has been sleeping for 5 - 7 hours for her first stretch...

Re: Baby acne?

It's totally normal and common. If it was a reaction it would likely be on other parts of his/her body.

Willow has baby acne pretty bad on her face, too. My midwives also told me that it was from...

Exercise?

Willow will be 2 weeks old on Saturday, so I'm pretty sure I haven't been cleared to do anything except for walking and some easy yoga. Walking about 20 minutes while wearing her feels like a work...

Re: Ouch my nip! (yes, just one)

Pumping can definitely make your nipples sore. Are you using any kind of lube? Does it feel different than typical nipple soreness? The first thing that popped into my head other than typical nipple...

Gas, anyone?

Any other babies super gasy?

I guess Willow isn't excessively gasy, but it does bother her a couple times a day. For the past couple days, she's been fussy on and off for a couple hours, and then...

Breastfeed only.

For both kids, I went through a 2 day period where my nipples were in really bad shape. It improves quickly, and they heal completely.

I had chronic clogged ducts the entire...

Re: Pregos please check in (again)

I was wondering the same thing. My DD's DDC shifted over to fb when it became a PR. Is there any talk of this DDC doing the same? The fact that it's so difficult to access JM's on my phone drives me...

Re: Pregos please check in (again)

How long will your doctor let you go, Jenny? This is your first, right? It seems more common than not that first babies like to continue baking past their DD. I remember my midwives telling me to do...

Pregos please check in (again)

My due date was yesterday (Friday, 10/25), and I'm still here, still very pregnant. I haven't had any signs of impending labor, either. I went to 42 weeks with my DD and always said that I would...
