At my last ultrasound babyboy was 3lbs 15oz and I was 29 weeks 5 days. At 25 weeks and 4 days he was 2lbs 2oz. And he has been consistently in the 70th percentile.

Why won't they let you schedule your c section for after 39 weeks? Just curious. I could understand if they were worried about you going into labor for some reason. But who's to say that you won't...

Wow! I was questioning the truthfulness of this story earlier but didn't want to cause trouble. I'm a nicu nurse and have taken care of many 24 weekers. Never had one weigh over 2lbs.

Also our hospital does not always deliver by c section. Apparently new research doesn't prove that doing a c/s is any safer for the bowel. Which actually surprises me. But once again every hospital...

I am a nicu nurse (neonatal intensive care unit) and see this defect. I don't want to say often but it's not rare. I'm in a fairly large advanced nicu and we see maybe 1-2 a month. I would wait...
