Re: Assumptions

It is a bit annoying, even if understandable. I really don't like this time of year.

Re: Valid religion/belief systems....

I tend to agree with Keskes on that debate. No belief is justification to actually break the law- unrelated to that belief's "acceptability" or "validity". I cannot defend myself for murder by...

Re: Defamation: Movie documentary on Jewish beliefs

I completely agree with Ima. Israel's agenda has NEVER been to destroy any group of people to take control of the land.
Funny, though, those people who talk about Israel's "atrocities".... what...

Re: 2012: weekly gathering in your community until..

Nah, wouldn't go. Personally, I believe that the only thing that will happen after 2012... is 2013 :) And then I'm just gonna LMAO just as I laughed on January 1st, 2000 and my blender didn't try to...

Re: Question on praying...

I know this was mostly directed at Christians, but the Jewish view on praying is not to tell G-d what you want or what you need. He knows what we want, and He definitely knows what He need and He'll...

Re: God....what do you think?

According to Judaism, G-d has no physical form, therefore He doesn't have a gender. But the Torah does mention that G-d's nature is both. For example, even though we refer to G-d as a "he", the...

Re: Daddy daycare

I've never used daycare, but if I had, gender wouldn't be an issue. Are we that hypocrite that we demand to be treated equally with men and have fought hard to have the same rights and opportunities...

Re: Child Models...

No, I wouldn't do that. I don't want my child's self esteem and livelihood to center around their looks. My mother was approached several times when I was little and she always refused and I thank...

Re: yelling two year old kicked off plane

I'm gonna have to agree that if this was a screaming child that it's OK to remove him from the flight. I don't know what happens when we have children, but suddenly we feel we and our kids deserve...

Re: giving your kids kisses

I usually kiss my children on their cheek. My oldest, David, won't allow anyone to kiss him unless it's in the head, I don't know why. But Aaron is the one that will plant a big one on my mouth if I...

Re: For The Love of Everything Holy

How low can we human beings go???
Is it just me or is this while reality hoopla getting way out of hand? Apparently if you can pick a good booger from your nose, you can have your own reality...

Re: This TIME Your Daughter Gets Her Period and....

No way! First of all, because BC isn't 100% safe. It can have side effects and why give a teen hormones that could severly affect her without a true need? Why instead not ty to develop a healthy and...

Re: obese woman has children removed from her care

I don't think the child was taken because the mother is obese. I think there was a concenr for the children health because the children ARE already morbidly obese. I mean, 224 lbs on a 13 year old?...

Re: Respecting preferences... or encouraging picky-eating?

I think it's perfectly acceptable. It shouldn't be done in cases with true picky eaters where every meal they have to have something special made for them, but if it's something that happens...

Re: C-section by choice

Sure, women should have a right to decide the way they want to deliver. Why should they be denied the possibility if that's what they choose? Should we only have ONE acceptable way to give birth? So...

Re: What is one of your struggles of your morals/spirituality/religion?

Well, being an Orthodox Jew, everything I do from how I dress to what I eat is related to my religion, and it's usually the opposite of what the rest of society does.
Probably the hardest part is...

Re: Lizard/alien people taking over our world

Well, anyone is free to believe what they want. I don't really share that particular belief and I personally don't buy into 99.99% of conspiracy theories and the 0.1% I seriously doubt, but if that...

I'm sure it happens,...

Re: What would be considered "proof"?

Actually, that's not true. You should listen/read Dr. Gerald Schroeder. He has a PhD in physics from MIT and he actually uses his own knowledge of physics and science to explain the existence of G-d...
