Re: School

Public school. The schools in our area are pretty good. If we didn't like them for whatever reason, then we would consider private.

Re: Financial Matters

DH makes the money and we both pay bills/balance the check book. I do it a bit more than he does. We each get a set allowance each month, but if we want to go over then we just let the other person...

Re: How do you remember your births?

I remember Vi's the most - you don't forget 3 hours of pushing  Grant's was fast (just over 4.5 hours) and even though it was just 3 months ago, I don't remember a lot. Lily's is fuzzy to me...

Re: "You'll feel different once the pain starts"

I used it as motivation to have a NCB and then I made sure to let them know later that I did do it without drugs. With my 2nd and 3rd births no one made any comments at all about having a NCB,...

Re: Are you "crunchy"?

I've become crunchier since having kids. We eat mainly organic/local food, I have only had NCBs, we cloth diaper, I breastfeed, I had a home birth, babywear, co-sleep/bed share, etc. But I do...

Re: curious..."pain" with birth

I've only had NCBs, but none of them were what I would call painful. I had lots of intense pressure with all 3, but not any true pain. Violet was stuck for 3 hours of pushing and the painful part...

Re: Things you haven't done with your LO

Disneyland. It's about 6 hours driving from us and all of Lily's friends have been now, but not her. We were going to go last year, but then wanted to wait until Vi was at least 2, so she could...

Re: Sizes

Lily is a 10 or 11 for shoes depending on the style.

She wears an XS (4/5) or size 4 for most things, but I'm buying 5s for pants for the length.

Re: Baby Vitamins?

Grant isn't on anything. I take extra Vitamin D, so he gets enough through my breastmilk. Here's some good info on it: http://kellymom.com/nutrition/vitamins/vitamin-d/

Re: Easier or Harder

To me, having 3 kids is pretty easy. I had a bit more baby blues this time around, but the girls adjusted well. Grant is a really calm and chill baby. The girls are both going through whiny...

Re: Baptism

We're Catholic and Grant was supposed to be christened in July, but there were scheduling issues, so it will be done in October now. We usually just have the godparents and some close family in the...

Re: Question for Mommies 08/13

I have one for Violet and she's still wearing it. She's worn it since she was 4 months old and she's 2.5 years old now. I'm trying to convince her to give hers to Grant, but so far she has said no...

Re: CPR?

I'm not currently certified, but I used to be and DH is certified. He's also an instructor for Red Cross in his spare time, so he's gone over all the updates with me, etc.

Re: Weekly Baby Update August 6 to August 12

Such sweet babies!

Grant is doing great. We spent last week in OR and he did really well with the long drive and everything. He's about 17lbs now or so. He's starting to sleep really well; he...

Re: Question for Mommies 08/10

Grant loves his jumperoo now. We started him at 2.5 months and now at 3 months old, he is really enjoying it. He jumps, plays with the toys, etc.

Re: Car seat?

Lily just turned FF less than a month ago, and she just turned 4 last week. She's mainly torso, so she outgrew her seat RF because of that and she's about 42" tall. Typically, longer legs means a...

Grant has been batting and holding toys. He also sucks his thumb when he's sleepy now and is pretty good about getting it to his mouth every time.

Re: Sitting up? ....kinda....

It just depends on the baby. Grant loves to sit up on his own in my lap. He can sit unsupported by anything except for his hands for a few minutes (it's the "tripod" position, where his hands are...
