Re: Newbie here

Well he's been seeing the allergist for several months now--first visit there, he diagnosed him with asthma and he did both the skin AND blood tests, no questions asked. Out of 72 pricks, he came...

Re: Suggestions on how to find a doctor?

I don't know anything specifically about Hash, but I definitely would recommend against an urgent care or walk in place. You need to find a specific doctor to see regularly. I was seeing an Endo, who...

Re: Newbie here

Update: We did the elimination diet for several weeks and his skin cleared up nicely, then all of a sudden it came back worse than before. I sort of threw my hands up. I put him back on dairy after...

Re: Eczema exacerbating diaper rash?

From what I've read eczema usually steers clear of the diaper area, but when you think about it, if the child has sensitive skin, it seems they would have sensitive skin everywhere you know?

My...

Re: Newbie here

After more researching, I realized it would be easier to eliminate dairy/soy/egg/wheat from his diet all at once to see if there is improvement, then slowly add them back one at a time so find the...

Re: Newbie here

That's the problem, our ped won't give us a referral. He considers himself a one stop shop and tells everyone that he is right and you don't need a second opinon. And unfortunately it's difficult for...

Re: Help me make cloth wipes work, please!

Why don't you try finding a sample bottle of solution, that wouldn't cost much, then you wouldn't be wasting money. Or, next time you sell diapers, use that money for wipe solution. A little bit goes...

Re: Curious.. has the novelty worn off for you?

I chose it mostly to save $ after using sposies on my first son from birth-3. I never was interested in "collecting" sought after prints, just wanted basic diapers that worked. Have tried all...

Re: Help me make cloth wipes work, please!

I have wipe solution, but I did a trade with a mom on DS--my scrapbook stuff for her Butt Beans (sold on etsy) and she gave me enough to probably last until PT'ing :)

I spray it directly on skin,...

Re: Give me some suggestions!

Best Bottoms are OS but IMO and most other people's as well, they are cut smaller than any other OS, so they are perfect for skinny kids!

Trimmest- Best Bottoms

Bulkiest-Kawaii Bamboo but even those were not too bad.

We are pretty much only using Best Bottoms now, b/c they are the trimmest...

Re: I have an Odd Question

^Ditto. We used to have major ammonia, and I realized I wasn't using enough detergent. I always heard it was so important not to use too much, so I ended up using too little. I tried using more, and...

I make my own detergent. My youngest is the only one in the family with skin problems, and when he was a newborn I used Dreft, and he never had any problems with that, or Purex, but I started using...

Re: Ezcema - How to keep from scratching?

I use CVS anti-itch cream on the itchy spots (it's like a generic Benedryl cream) when I see my son scratching. Also cut his nails every single day.
