Re: C-Section Recovery

I echo what the others said. My swelling and pain took about a week to subside. I am now at three weeks and still sore if I walk too much or try to lift too much. I feel for you-I'm going stir crazy...

Re: What you expected?

It's more or less what I expected. The transition from 0 to 1 kid was way harder for me, than from 1 to 2 or 2 to 3.

I said this to my sister today "it's easier for me to adjust to, being that it...

Re: Pacifiers and Breastfeeding

The first two, we gave it to them in the hospital. I'm not really sure if it interfered with breastfeeding - I don't think so. It was mainly used for car trips.

With this one, we delayed a bit,...

Re: I knew it was too good to be true

That's too bad :(

I'll give you some anecdotal advice so take it FWIW......DD had issues with weight gain while breast feeding. This started a roller coaster of trials.....supplementing, meds to...

Re: When your baby isn't eating or sleeping....

Here's another question (cause Joey likes to be held all the time too) how do you hold them? (Like wear them, or in your arms?) I have a moby and a beco and a sling. He hates the sling, cause he...

I get very little when I pump. I was overfull last week and tried to pump some out. Only got half an ounce from each breast.

Re: I have to confess...

Add me to the list of people who don't like the newborn phase. I never have. Being tied to a miserable nursing baby all day, no sleep, muscle tension from hunching over nursing all the time, trying...

Re: Nighttime

My DD is almost 8 and has been coming in to sleep with us 5 nights out of 7. I seriously believe she'll be 15 by the time she stops. She just can't be convinced to stay in her own bed!

When your baby isn't eating or sleeping....

What is he/she doing?

Mine is mostly crying. :( I think he has some reflux, but he's pretty unhappy unless he's nursing or sleeping. It makes the day long and it's hard for my other two.

...

Re: Nighttime

I'm trying to figure this out. So far, the crib has been a no go as has a Swaddle sack. So, he's been in bed with me but last night, he decided he forgot how to latch while side-lying. So, I "slept"...

Re: Throwing myself a pity party

You're entitled! I saw a woman at the grocery store yesterday who is due Friday and she was miserable and unhappy. I totally get it. Pregnancy is about 6 weeks too long! Keep your chin up, your baby...

Re: Laid back/biological nursing

Have you tried pumping just til your milk lets down then put baby on? I find that helps with the 'frantic chomping'!

Re: Antidepressants & breastfeeding

I meant to add that my doctor is also an IBCLC and she was very unconcerned about the potential for harm to baby :)

Re: Antidepressants & breastfeeding

I took 3 different ones - Luvox, Remeron and um...... Another one that I can't recall. All seemed fine for breast feeding, I had no issues!

Re: PP bleeding

This is much like me. I was basically done bleeding by day 10 and went from slight flow to none on days 12 and 13. Then, I went for a gigantic walk and now it's heavier than ever and am back on...

Re: I have to confess...

I'm not really enjoying it this time either - this little guy has a very bad latch. I always supplemented my other two about 10% of the time just to give myself a break and will likely do so with...
