Re: Have you taught anyone how to use coupons or live frugally?

Then...

Re: On average, how much do you save using coupons?

I can usually save 20-30 per week on groceries when matching up sales with coupons etc.
Walmart is usually a little less. I can save ~20 per trip there which does add up a LOT since I'm usually...

Our cabinets are so bare that we even used up the last of the cheerios which we almost ALWAYS have. We lived off our stockpile for the...

Re: Saving money while eating healthy..

Farmer's markets and co-ops. You can get seasonal produce so much cheaper and in large quantities at farmer's markets then process them at home to can, freeze or dehydrate. Or you can cook them into...

Re: budget friendly bread macine recipes

This is also a good recipe. Its more along the lines of the white bread we're used to. Its more dense than the loaves you buy at the store, but the article leading up to the recipe kinda explains...

Re: budget friendly bread macine recipes

Very true.. you will be hardpressed to find nonyeast recipes. I have heard that you can make a liquid yeast mixture from raisins and some other stuff.. but not sure how that would conform to a recipe...

Re: How many papers are you planning on getting?

Only 1. We lived off our stockpile this month so I haven't been shopping much.. hence not much of a need for more coupons. Plus I wasn't that impressed with the preview.

Re: What is coupon usage like where you are at?

Slim to none. Most people I see shopping aren't using that many coupons. Most people don't even seem to know the store's policies. The other day I shared a coupon with an elderly lady at our local...

Re: whats a good price per lb?

My local stores are about 70-77c/lb on turkey still too. BUT they also are putting out store coupons to get anywhere from 2-5 bucks off and I'm sure that considerably lowers what you end up paying...

Re: Homemade Cleaning Supplies

I've used the borax mix on clothes too.. just keep in mind that vinegar is a bleaching agent, so it might lighten things a lot. I've only used it on white clothes so I couldn't tell you about color...
