Re: BTDT mamas - Most used and least used

Most used: cloth diapers, sweetpea ring slings, wraps and Ergo.

Least used: just about everything else 'they' tell you a baby "needs."

I am very like minded, except we do baby led weaning, are against RIC, and we don't vax at all. I am in CA, too. :)

Re: What is your idea of a perfect birth?

Home, night, dark, candlelight, birth tub, warm water, calm, peaceful. I had a similar birth with my 4th, it was incredible. I hope to achieve as close to that or better this time. <3

Re: Hospital?

Please do your research. If you do not want a cesarean, fight them. You hire them, not the other way around. They owe you respect. I personally know how hard it is to fight with hospital staff, but...

Re: Vaccinations

We don't vax. But we used to.

Also, let me add (for the OP), unvaccinated children cannot make vaccinated children sick UNLESS their vaccines don't work the way they are supposed to.

Re: Hospital?

Oh. I had no idea it was financial. I assumed it was due to being a VBAC. My apologies. Good luck figuring out what to do. I have no advice about hospitals.

Re: Hospital?

I would say if a homebirth is what you're after, fight for it! Don't even consider an Ob or hospital until you have to. What state are you in? Not all midwives have to be linked to an Ob, depending...

Re: Sickly remedies??

My solution has been LIGHT and frequent. Small Salads w/beans so it's a full meal. I can't stand heavy or lots of food. Black beans on toast is good. Tuna w/cucumber, tomatos, onions, boiled egg, and...

Re: Early? Just about on time? or late?

Probably late, possibly "on time." Twins were 8 days early, induction. All the others were totally drug free at 42+2, 41+4, 40+6. :)

Re: due date confusion

I always go with the later date. In fact, I took my latest date according to my cycle and then added a week! I don't want ANY pressure at the end and from experience, I always go over. If I were...

Re: Homebirth, Birthing Center or Hospital?

Definitely home. Have had 2 hosp births, 2 at home. I would only go back to the hosp for a true emergency.
