Re: I can't believe how many diapers we're going through!

I know from my previous babies I calculated needing 10 diapers per day for the early weeks, but Kate wasn't going through nearly that because she wasn't pooping that much, and I wasn't changing just...

Re: Biting on dismount?

1/2 lb a week is normal gain, anywhere from 1/2 oz up to 2 oz a day is fine according to my midwife. It slows down more after the first few months, I think the goal is still double birth weight by 6...

Re: When your baby isn't eating or sleeping....

I do an upright hold in the sling too, I just keep an arm on her, its quicker than the moby when I think she's going to eat again soon or I'm going to need to put her down. She's pretty content...

Re: Unplanned, unassisted birth of Exton in the parking lot.

That is a truly beautiful story! Totally tearing up. I think I can understand how you can look back on it with so much joy, even though it would have been so intense and stressful in that moment. And...

Heart 3 pushes and she's out! Kate's birth.

Katrina Faith (Kate) made her appearance on Monday, April 14, at around 3PM, 1 day early.

Because my other two had been born at around 39.5 weeks, and my midwives told me they thought I'd do the...

Re: I have to confess...

I actually hate bottle feeding.. like a LOT. I find bfeeding worlds easier... once it's going well and they are bigger. I think cus I've done it succesfully long term before I know how easy it can...

Re: Slow to gain weight?

I have to do the same thing with Kate (back and forth multiple times). Using different positions and lots of breast compression too. My son always did both sides, but DD1 got my milk supply up so...

Re: DH said .....LMAO

Lol. My DH would NEVER want to do what I do! He sees how much work it is. It drives him crazy just to sit and hold baby for ten minutes! He has always fully acknowledged my job is harder than his, he...

Re: Bouncing back..

Checked today and I've lost a little over half, at two weeks out so I'm happy. They don't want me to lose much more, I have 10-12 left, my midwife thinks I need them to help with bfeeding. With my...

Re: Burning pain when engorged/cold?

I don't feel the pain of the letdown on the side I'm latching, just the other side. Reynauds syndrome is what I have, I think it acts different than in hands and feet cus it's concentrated in the...

Re: We have a cold already! :(

Sad. We just had this too, from her siblings. There was just nothing I could do to protect her short of locking her in a plastic bubble or sending them away ( which would not help the transition to a...

Re: BF moms... No poop for 2 days?

How old is she? It is normal to be all over the map with poop, but I've been told that is after 2-3 weeks. For me, this scenario is worrying and means they aren't gaining well. A cycle we've gone...

Question Q for formula feeding moms.. or anyone who knows.

Does anyone know, can I make up several bottles worth of formula in advance and store it in the fridge just to be warmed at feeding time?
