pregnancy after loss question

I had a missed miscarriage that was diagnosed on February 11th. I was 9 weeks pregnant. I lost the baby a week later. After the initial bleeding, I was spotting the Brown crud up until a few days ago. Almost exactly 28 days after the loss, I started spotting red again but just for a few hours. I still haven't started my period, so I just poas. It's positive....is it just registering the loss or could I actually be pregnant again? I don't want to get excited, but I am, so I thought maybe someone here had the answer for me. Thanks for any advice, even if its not what I want to hear.

Hugs! Sorry for your loss! Did they test your hormone levels after the miscarriage? After that long, the 28 days, I would think that your body has had time to recover and that your levels have had time to balance. I hope you are preggo!

I would see a doctor to make sure that you were successful in getting all of the tissue out with the natural miscarriage rather than the D&C. If there is lingering tissues, it could still create hormones. Since you are still bleeding and had lots of brown crud, that would be my bet. But, it also could be a new pregnancy. Either way, seeing a doctor would be the best way to go.

Hoping it's a new pregnancy for you! Like was said though, I would call into the Dr. My worry would also be retained tissue, or the hormones haven't completely gotten out of your system. If it is a new pregnancy, which I really hope it is, the Dr. can check your levels and get a handle on things now hopefully and be of reassurance. Good Luck!

I'm so very sorry for your loss :(
My second MC happened at 7 weeks and it was natural, I was monitoring my HCG levels so I could get testing done and it took over 40 days for my levels to drop from 180 to 0.
I would suggest getting your Dr to check your levels to see if they are doubling every 48 hours.
I really hope it isn't just your levels going down and that you have something to celebrate this weekend.
Good luck and take care ((HUGS))

Sorry you're going through this. The uncertainty is no fun. I agree with the other ladies... Retained tissue can cause a positive test. But, there's a chance. Your doctor will be able to monitor your blood and see what's going on. Good luck!

So sorry you are going through this. It sucks. Just Plain Sucks.

I had a MC at 5 wks back in Sept. I tested positive for 2 weeks afterwards. Exactly 28 days after MC happened I got my period. Period was completely normal.

Then I had a missed miscarriage at 11 wks. My D&C was 2 wks after. Exactly 28 days from the MC, I started bleeding. Heavy for about 30 min, then light for a few hours, then the brown crud for 3 days. I know my levels haven't gotten back to normal. I haven't temp't, OPKd, nothing. My body is so screwed up I feel like a human pretzel.

It's been 6 weeks for you though, right? I agree with PP, do a hormone check with the OB. If for anything, for peace of mind. GL and KUP!

Give yourself some time. You're going through alot.

It's been almost 6 weeks since my mc. I'm still testing positive and having blood tests every few days. It's just dropping very slowly, which is so frustrating as I'm ready to move on with it! I started bleeding heavily again last Weds and thought that might help if anything was still in there, but my hcg only dropped 6 points from weds to fri.
