Anyone ever seen a homeopath?

I'm going to make an appointment for my paperwork next month to start our IVF process. We are on the NHS waiting list but that's another 11 months to wait although they do sometimes get cancellations so we're going to try a private cycle. I've booked an appointment in the meantime to see a homeopath to see if she can help me get a better balance before I start the process. I don't sleep very well at all and this has a 'knock on effect' on my moods and concentration etc... Just wondered if any of you ladies have every tried one and if so what did you think?

Re: Anyone ever seen a homeopath?

No. I saw an acupuncturist for years. I have absolutely no idea if it helped honestly, and for someone who was supposed to know if my body was in "balance" or not, I was really disappointed that she had no idea I was severely diabetic. My doctor's didn't know because I was asymptomatic, but my acupuncturist should have known something was wrong (though obviously not what).

So I'm pretty soured on alternative therapies. But if you don't have to pay for it it's worth a shot.

My husband's dad and stepmom own a mineral business....basically, they do essential oils, vitamins, minerals, etc and have workshops geared toward homeopathic remedies. I use alternative medicine rather than visiting a doctor, but I have never actually privately consulted with a homeopath although I have met quite a few and have heard many of them speak on the uses of essential oils to heal. Nothing fertility related though....but I don't think it hurts to try.
