HELLO LADIES,

I AM NEW HERE, AND WANTED TO SAY I AM SO GLAD TO HAVE FOUND THIS PLACE. MY HUBBY AND I DECIDED TO TTC #1 IN JANUARY. MY PERIODS HAVE BEEN CRAZY SINCE I WENT OFF THE PILL OVER ONE YEAR AGO. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CHART, BECAUSE I HAVE ONLY HAD THREE PERIODS FOR THE YEAR, AND IT HAS ALL BEEN INDUCED WITH PROVERA. MY GYNO SAYS EVERYTHING IS FINE (TEST CONFIRMED THAT) BUT SHE THINKS I AM NOT OVULATING YET, SINCE I WAS ON THE PILL FOR OVER 8 YEARS.

LATELY, ALTHOUGH I FEEL IT WILL HAPPEN FOR US VERY SOON, I KEEP HEARING ABOUT OTHER COUPLES GETTING PREGNANT AFTER LIKE TWO MONTHS, AND IT MAKES ME HAPPY, BUT IT ALSO MAKES ME JEALOUSE...ANYONE WITH ME? I KNOW THIS IS NOT GOOD, BUT I AM JUST HUMAN...LAST WEEK ONE OF MY FRIENDS WHOM I HAD TALKED TO ABOUT WANTING TO GET PREG AND SHE SAID SHE ALSO (BACK IN JANUARY) SHE TOLD ME SHE IS...I AM SO HAPPY FOR HER, BUT I FEEL INADECUATE...AND TODAY, MY CAUSIN AND HIS WIFE, WHO TRIED ONLY FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS, ALSO TOLD ME THEY ARE PREGNANT...AGAIN, I AM SO HAPPY FOR THEM....BUT IT MAKES IT MORE DIFFICULT FOR ME TO BE PATIENT...I KNOW I AM VERY LUCKY IN OTHER WAYS, I HAVE BEEN HAPPILY MARRIED FOR OVER 5 YEARS, BECAUSE WE MARRIED YOUNG WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TRAVEL A LOT, WE'VE ACCOMPLISHED A LOT FINANCIALLY, AND WE HAVE ENDURED A LOT TOGETHER ALREADY AS A COUPLE, SO OUR RELATIONSHIP IS VERY STABLE...BUT NOW WE REALLY WANT OUR LITTLE BUNDLE OF JOY-

WHENEVER I FEEL OF ANOTHER COUPLE GETTING PREGNANT IT JUST MAKES ME FEEL LIKE THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME, AND IT HURTS MY SELF ESTEEM...OH WELL, I GUESS I JUST HAVE TO BE PATIENT....

WELL, I GUESS I JUST WANTED TO VENT AND LET IT ALL OUT...THANKS FOR BEING HERE AND HOPE TO HEAR FRO YOU SOON.

LESLIE

Welcome Leslie,
I understand how you are feeling as I have been there. I started out in this thread and had a lot of support from the ladies here or I would have given up hope. I still pop back to check on everyone.
We tried for 18 months to get our bundle of joy. Honestly I had given up hope. I am 36 and figured I was just too old. But after having all tests done and the HSG done in December of last year. I had just got my script for clomid and I was to start that in January. Well I didn't need to. We got our BFP just a week before my 36th bday in January.
I just want you to not give up hope and please don't think there is something wrong with you. I know it is hard not to.
Have you had all the tests for fertility issues?

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I do appreciate it! And yes, I have had some testing done and everything has come back normal. She says she thinks I am just not ovulating yet, after being on the pill for so long. I guess everyone is different and my body is having a hard time coming back to normal (I used to be very regular prior to that). I will be sarting clomid next month, so we'll see how that goes... And congratulations to you for your BFP!!!

Hi there
I am in the same boat as you are - I have been married to my DH for 4 years now and I have been off the pill for 3.5. We have been consistently trying for over a year now. I have a call into the fertility specialist, but no call back - WTH! It hurts when everyone around you is having children and for some reason you haven't been able to. Good luck and best wishes! I'll keep up the prayers for ya!

I know how you feel, as I'm sure all of us do on here. Today has been a particularly hard day for me because it seems like everywhere I turn, I hear about another pregnancy. My fiance just had a new nephew, and now I have found out today about two of my old friends who are now pregnant. Though I am happy for all of them, it also makes me sad. I don't understand why it is taking my fiance and I longer to get pregnant than them. I know a lot of people have waited so much longer than me to get their positive, but it is still hard. Best of luck hun, and I am hear if you ever want to talk!

Hi there, I don't normally post but I have been lurking for a while, and really wanted to say to you that you are only human, and everyone feels jealous when hearing about others being pregnant. Especially when it "happened so quickly". Just think to yourself it will be your turn soon! Don't be so hard on yourself! Also, when I came off the pill 3 years ago (not to ttc) I'd been on it for 7 years and I didn't even have a period for 7 months, but I guess because I wasn't TTC I wasn't too worried and just waited for them to right themselves. After that they soon got back into full swing regular cycles, so don't be worried. I'm sure it'll all sort out very soon x
