TTC a boy---baking soda finger stories? Success?

First month TTC, going for a boy. Mostly just for fun. Have been eating lots of cereal, bananas, salty food, steak, orange juice, etc. Hubbie drank coffee one hour before and I did the baking soda finger. It was fine, no biggie!! anyone else in a similar situation?

We are going to start TTC our boy next month! EEK! We are planning to be pretty low key as well, my diet is similar to yours, I'm going to try to drink lemon water every day and I am planning on doing the baking soda finger beforehand, but I have a question, how long do you do the finger? Like, how long are you supposed to sit there with it in lol? (tmi!) Do you only do it before, or also after? How much baking soda and how far in? Can you tell I am confused haha?

What was your timing? I think I am going to try to time it as close to O as possible.

Anyone know if wine or beer sways one way or the other? Or cocktails? We have a vacation next month as well LOL ;)

You just dip a wet fingertip in, insert it, and take it back out. It dissolves quickly. I am on month 2 now of trying. I tried to time around ovulation last month, but this month will be bding much more, I don't want to limit too much and miss getting pregnant all together! Hopefully the ph is more important than timing!
