Vitamin B6

Has anyone tried this to bring on ovulation/PPAF? What dose did you take? And did it work for you? How long did it take?

I've been taking 100 mg for about a month, I ran out of pills and got the 200 mg and have been taking them for a week or two now. Still nothing, but I am still nursing quite often, so I guess I'm not REALLY expecting AF...but wouldn't mind getting it back so we can think about TTC. My son is night weaned but nurses about every 2-4 hours (occasionally going 5 hrs but rarely) during the day. He gets solids twice a day as well.

Re: Vitamin B6

I started taking 100 mg of B6 about 2 or 3 months before my period came back. I have no idea when I ovulated after my first period but after my second period I ovulated on CD 15 and got pregnant. So, it definitely worked for me! :)

Re: Vitamin B6

I didn't use it for returning ovulation/PPAF but started it to regulate my ovulation and LP. 100mg didn't do anything but 200mg did - for two cycles at least, but then it went back to short again. However I think my issue is less related to nursing so it won't do any harm for you to take it and see anyways if it works. I wouldn't expect it to bring on your ovulation before your body is naturally ready but by taking it it might help your hormones be more balanced when it does return!
