Temperatures

Question:
Does your temp start to lower when you are closer to ovulation or does it only drop the day of ovulation?
I started temping on CD1, and since then my temps have been a mixture of 97.--, but today at CD11 it was 96.99. That's my first 96. Temp. Today is the first of my 5 fertile days (says my days app) and I am experiencing my creamy cm.

Re: Temperatures

Don't stress over a single temp. It's the overall pattern you need to look at and a lot of factors can mess with a single temp.. mouth open, colder in room, snoring when you usually don't etc.

Re: Temperatures

Ok thanks. I know I shouldn't be stressing this early with temps anyways. This is my first month temping. So it's all over the place. Lol.

You and I are figuring it out together... yesterday mine seemed was low but I was an hour earlier so....

The trouble with temping is that you can't really tell much about when O happens, until it's already over. Especially not your first month doing it when you don't know what your normal patterns are going to look like. Get to BDing just in case, and keep it up every other day until you see 3 or more days consistently elevated. Good luck! Don't stress too much over it.

Thanks for the advice. I'm ready to get started and can't wait to O.
Fx this is my month.

I'm still new at charting, too! So far, I don't have a very dramatic drop before O. It might go down .1 for a day or two, then climb back up.

I stress about it, too, but what the above ladies said I find I need to remind myself over and over!
