I hate cleaning up dog vomit - O/T

My dog threw up all over the couch and all the blankets on the couch. I know he didn't do it on purpose, but I'm still grossed out and annoyed. I hate cleaning up dog puke. He doesn't throw up very often, but when he does, it's always in an inconvenient place, like the couch or the bed. It can never be outside in the yard or on the kitchen floor.

Someone please tell me a gross story about your pet(s) to make me feel like I am not alone...

Nothing bad yet here... I've only cleaned up puke once, off a rug.. she does often run around with poo hanging out of her from eating hair though...

When we first brought Thor home he threw up at least once a day poor guy :( He was usually considerate enough to do it on the tile but one night he jumped up in bed with us came right up for snuggles and then threw up all over the top blanket. It was really unpleasant. Thank goodness he hasnt thrown up in months. . .

Hope your pup is feeling better and there are no more incidents any time soon!

I literally just got done cleaning a large amount of cat puke off my wood floor. They do it all the time, unfortunately.

Sorry he's sick.... my doggie tries to throw on the floor, like he doens't want to make a mess...usually under the table or under the edge of the bed which is on carpet :( A few times he has thrown up on our chaise..... I hate cleaning it but in that moment of discovering it I'm always more concern about hwy he threw up, but then as the wet spot dries and if it leaves a stain I stress about that!

I know why my dog throws up. It's because my DH feeds him too much. :) But the dog always waits to throw up until DH isn't around, so I'm always stuck cleaning it up.

Not dog puke but gross anyway: My brother and SIL came to visit and brought their dog with them. It was locked up in it's kennel in our bedroom while we went out for a while. It escaped from the kennel (the dog is crazy) and pooped on my DH pillow. He was sooo upset. He doesn't even like dogs or messes like that and it really threw him over the top!

I would be upset, too. :D

Oh I definitely have some stories I have some beagles and they tend to puke everywhere. Like yesterday I found puked on a blanket in their dog bed, nice surprise. But I have to say my favorite is when they've puked in bed on more than one occasion it's always nice to have your blanket puked on along with your arms and legs at 3:00 am. Lol

I seriously still cannot clean up doggie puke without gagging.

A few years ago, we switched dog food, and weren't smart about it (i.e. gradually giving it to them with their old food). We came home to diarhea and vomit all over the house from BOTH dogs. It was the most horrendous animal mess ever.

Ok, gross stories... Let me first say, I live & grew up on a ranch, with chickens, goats, sheep, cattle, horses, dogs, cats, & various other critters. Let's start with the chickens... I think the grossest thing I've done with chickens (besides butcher & pull out the guts) was when I fed my hens alfalfa pellets- chickens cant handle too much fiber at one time. They all got constipated, but it went away within a day except for this one hen... she couldnt poop for 3 days, so I got Mom to hold her for me (Mom lives 2 miles away) and, with gloves on of COURSE! lol I put my little finger in her & pulled all the poop out!!!! GAG! It saved her life, though lol
I have pulled baby goats out of their mothers, been covered from my chest, both arms, and all the way down to my feet in amniotic fluid, blood, and membranes from birthing goats, and put my own mouth over the nose/mouth of just-born kids that werent showing signs of life and did CPR- some worked, some didnt. (I met one of my dad's busness associates looking like that one morning!!! I pulled a set of triplets from one of Mom's goats, and was walking to her house to shower when Dad & his new pal pulled up... UGH! what an impression hahaha I'll stop there... I think the finger-up-the-chicken-butt was the grossest thing I've ever done for animals, and I've certainly cleaned my share of puke- animal & human!
Also, I was a CNA for 7 years & a Dental Aide for 1-1/2 yrs... I wont even GO there!!! People are WAY GROSSER than anything animals could do!!! LOL
BTW- I want to be an OB nurse, working on the pre-req's now... lol

Oh, wanted to add... after being a CNA, the only thing that would make me gag was oral care on other people... but then I worked as a Dental Aide, and have seen the most horrifying things... I cant believe people dont take care of their mouths! It's SO simple to brush your teeth even just ONCE a week!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, now nothing anyone does makes me gag, and I can eat through it all, even if a kid I'm babysitting pukes or snots on me as I'm holding them while I eat my breakfast (I clean them up, but it doesnt affect my appetite one bit lol) ... only thing that makes me wanna gag now is worms (all kinds- grubs, cutworms, eathworms, internal parasites, I dont like worms! And I run into a lot of them while gardening lol) and those huge 4" black beetles that we get in the summertime that scream & come after you if you irritate them! LOL
