Nicholle's TTC #1 Journal

Hi ladies,

I've been on the boards for almost a year, so I thought I would finally start a journal. A little bit about me: DH, Bob (36) and I (32) have been trying for over a year now, on our 13th cycle. DH and I met in undergrad in 1999. We've been together ever since! We were married in 2009 at our alma mater and honeymooned in Hawaii. We were never really in a rush to have children as we were both focused on our education and careers, both of us have masters degrees and both of us run programs in our respective fields. Of course, looking back and with the benefit of hindsight, maybe we should have tried sooner or I shouldn't have taken an all progesterone bcp for 10 years!

The good news, DH's second SA came back much better than his first SA. His motility remains borderline, but everything else is positive/fertile! I'm on my second round of clomid. My first round of 50mg resulted in a short, 5/6 day LP. So my Ob/gyn bumped me up to 100mg this round. Hopefully the clomid will help, but who knows.....

Since January I've been saying that 2012 will be my year! Though sadly the year is slowly slipping away, I'm still hopeful. My birthday is in a couple weeks, and of course you all know what I am wishing for! I turn 33 and now I've decided that 33 will be my best year yet!!!!!

Also, thank you in advance for reading this journal. Hugs and kisses to you all!

Cycle 13, day 10

I've finished my round of clomid yesterday and I'm happy that I'm done. Sick of the side effects! Here's hoping that it will really work this cycle and give me my birthday wish! Non ttc related thoughts: Really need to stop proscratinating this morning! I would like to work out, clean and make fruit salad before tonigt's party. Just need to find motivation!

Yay :cheer: for starting a journal!

I hope this journal is short and sweet! That is great DH's SA has improved. All you need is one swimmer to make it. I am hopeful that borderline one only 1 thing will be enough :).

:dust: I will pray you get your birthday mircle!!!

Cycle 13, day 12

Been feeling down the last week or so. I really think it is due to the clomid, as there is nothing in particular that I can think of that would depress me. I have continued to feel different since I've been on this medication. I'm not worried yet, but I'm really hoping that I won't have to be on this medication for long!

Re: Nicholle's TTC #1 Journal

So I'm adding this to my journal so I don't forget it. A couple of months ago on another board I learned of Cheri who provides free prediction readings. I've asked for free readings in the past, both stating that I would conceive in March, well low and behold that did not happen. So here is Cheri's prediction. Hopefully it will come true....

They are showing me a girl and they relate her to SEPT so this is either birth month, conceive month or the month you find out in.

Now they are also showing me like the 3-6th so not sure if you just started your cycle, or even just ovulated?/ (leaning towards your cycle just starting)...

I'm so glad you started a journal! I think I was on JM for about a year before I started mine as well. You will be so happy you did.

I have to dig out my Cheri reading! I did one several years ago. Granted, it didn't come true back then, but I wonder if the month was right, even now? I wonder where that is...

x

Karin, let me know when you find it! It would be funny if it were true, well the month at least!

Thanks Jen! :)

It also took me a year to get my journal started. Before that, I kept thinking I would be pregnant soon, so why bother?

Yeah, I thought that too for the first six months. Hopefully it will happen soon for both (all) of us!!! :)

Cycle # 13, CD 13

Feeling really good day, even with less sleep than I usually get! I had a hot flash from the clomid, but I'm not feeling down at all! Hopefully, that side effect is gone! I've had a lot of energy today, which usually increases closer to O. Hopefully, I'll O this weekend, but it may not happen until the beginning of next week. I guess we'll see!

OT: I just got my first student today! I'm training a bachelor's level student, which is a lot of fun. I've trained and supervised in other positions, but not here at the VA. She seems really nice. Hopefully all will go well. Otherwise, work is keeping me busy. I think I'm on a million (or 8 ) committees now and keep getting nominated as chair or co-chair. So I'm starting to get swamped. I love keeping busy, but this is going to be a crazy rest of the year! I hope it doesn't keep me from JM! :p

Cycle # 13, CD 14

Super, super tired today! :sleepy:

That is all.

Cycle # 13, CD 16

Will hopfully O soon, I can tell my body is gearing up. I'd prefer sooner rather than later, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

In other news, being a football fan really sucks sometimes. I've been spoiled, as my team has usually done ok in the past. I think this is the first time in over 10 years that we weren't ranked in the top 25 nor do I see us being close to being in the top 25 for the next 10 years. {sigh} Oh well.

Cycle #13, CD 18

So I definitely O'd earlier this cycle! :) But, I feel really badly that I O'd this earlier, and here's why. DH was supposed to go out of town this week for work. I told him that I would likely O on Wednesday, and asked if he could cancel the trip. He stated that he could, but may not be able to do so in the future. Well, I already O'd, so it looks like he cancelled the trip for nothing. :( I feel very badly about this and haven't told DH this yet. I'm not sure if I will.

Here's hoping that I will get my BFP this cycle and he won't need to cancel anymore trips! :)

Cycle # 13, CD 20, dpo 3

So ff moved my O date to cd 17 instead of 16, which isn't a big deal, but I was so happy to have ovulated so early, oh well. I'm becoming more optimistic about this cycle, which is a very bad thing, as it will likely result in a huge let down. :( Wish me luck ladies!

Re: Nicholle's TTC #1 Journal

Update:

As the day progressed, I felt worse. I really think I'm feeling side effects (again) of clomid. I've been moody/emotional/irritable, headache, several hot flashes and very tired. Feeling a bit better now, hopefully the good feelings will last. Of course, I'll take all the side effects in the world if it gets me my bfp! :p

Re: Nicholle's TTC #1 Journal

Cycle # 13, dpo 4

 I know I'm overreacting, but my temp has already dropped on day 4! :angry2: I know that I have a LPD (though not officially dx'd, but it's pretty obvious when your LP has never been longer than 9/10 days!) I have talked with my ob/gyn in the past about progesterone cream and she wanted me to hold off this cycle. Well, I left a vm on the nurse line today regarding the progesterone cream and explained that I O'd, but had a huge temp drop on dpo 4. I'm hoping (though it may be too late) to start taking progesterone cream today (maybe she'll change her mind???). If not, I'm sure she'll bump me up to 150mg of clomid next cycle and I will take progesterone cream whether she prescibes it or not! At this point, there really is no other way to increase my LP. I've been talking B6 with B complex (including b12) since October/November 2011. I'm just so frustrated! Everyone says, "an lpd is an easy fix!" That makes it even more frustrating, as it's still not fixed!

Ok, I feel better....if you are reading this, thank you for reading this rant! I'm going to blame it on the hormones! :p

Re: Nicholle's TTC #1 Journal

Sorry about the temp drop Nicholle  Its really hard not to get your hopes up after this length of time.

I hope your nurse gets back to you soon, KUP on what she says
