Question about the effect of weaning (a toddler) on fertility

I have a similar thread going in AIP, but it was based on are my symptoms from weaning or something else, and this is more a question about changes to fertility after weaning. Sorry if they are too similar and I shouldn't be making a new post.

My 3.5yo self-weaned in the middle of July. Before he weaned, he was only nursing 1-2 times a day. I noticed no difference in my breasts (presumably because he was nursing so little to begin with) and didn't feel any different. My next cycle started 2 days early (Aug 17th), and I was crazy hormonal during it. It was like being a teenager again. I've been trying to find info on weaning and hormones today, and from what I've read, that's to be expected. There weren't any significant differences in my cycle. (If your curious about the small differences, I suppose you can find my other thread and read them there.) On CD5, when my cycle ended, I had cramps that felt very much like ovulation, and major fertility signs. Now I'm on CD15, and though I usually ovulate between CD13-15, I have had no fertility signs since CD5.

My question is, if I did ovulate on CD5, could weaning, and changes in my hormones due to weaning, be the cause? Has anyone else had an early ovulation/short cycles immediately post weaning? Or did something else happen to mess up my cycle? I've scoured the internet all day, but most of what I can come up with was women who weaned to kickstart ovulation, but were disappointed when it didn't, which is kind of the opposite of my question.
