A woman’s cervix produces fluid known as cervical mucus. This fluid is similar to any other mucus in your body. When you are not adequately hydrated what happens? Your mouth gets dry, your skin is less elastic and healthy, and your mucus becomes dry. Naturally, drinking plenty of water will improve the quality and quantity of cervical mucus you produce. Fertile cervical mucus, the kind that is slippery, stretchy, and lubricative, is necessary for conception to take place.
