Heart-Shaped Crayons: Valentine's Day Craft

Melt your child’s broken crayons and turn them into cute little heart-shaped Valentine’s favors. All you need are a few supplies and you can turn ordinary crayons into a work of art. Here’s how you make them. Heart-Shaped Crayons Tutorial courtesy of Craftster.org.

Supplies:
Crayons
Heart-shaped foils or heart-shaped silicone cupcake molds
Cookie sheets
Oven

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees.  While the oven is preheating soak your crayons in warm water to help loosen up the paper.  Peel the paper from the crayons and then break them into chunks.

Coordinate your crayons into colors that go together and place them in your heart shaped foils.

Bake them in the oven for about 15 minutes, or until the crayons have melted.

Once they are melted take them out of the heart foil and let them cool.
