Little Girl Saved by Natasha Richardson News

Actress Natasha Richardson’s tragic death from a ski accident has helped at least one little girl in Mentor, Ohio, People  reports. Richardson hit her head while learning to ski, and soon after died of an epidural hematoma (a buildup of blood against the skull).

In Ohio, 7-year-old Morgan McCraken was hit by a baseball in the head, but seemed fine for a few days following the incident. When her parents saw the news report about Richardson, they thought twice and called the family doctor – in the nick of time.

The mag says Morgan started to develop intense symptoms and was airlifted to a children’s hospital in Cleveland. Doctors informed the family the she had the same injury as Richardson – an epidural hematoma.  The little girl underwent surgery and is now recovering at home.
