Nausea, symptom of pregnancy

I am feeling nauseous. Could I be pregnant?

Nausea and vomiting, better known as morning sickness in a common sign of pregnancy. If you have a missed period and are experiencing nausea and or vomiting, you could very well be pregnancy. Morning sickness occurs in about 70% of pregnancy.

How early can I experience nausea in pregnancy?

Morning sickness usually begins sometimes between four to eight weeks and subsides by 16 weeks. Some women experience morning sickness very early. Even before they obtain a positive pregnancy test.

What causes nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy?

The cause of morning sickness is not well understood. One belief is that it is caused by the high levels of estrogen, progesterone, and hcg in the body.

Treatment of nausea and vomiting during early pregnancy

Usually conservative treatments, such as eating dry crackers or toast before getting out of bed are recommended. If morning sickness is severe, your doctor may offer medication. Consult with your doctor before taking any medication.
