Hi there. My daughter has had eczema since she was a baby. She is now 10. We would bath her and put eucerin cream (the really really gooky stuff) on her as soon as we pulled her out of the tub. Don't dry, just slather with the cream. Then for the really tough spots, cortizone cream would generally clear it up. She semi-grew out of it but still has flair ups every now and then. What I started doing was looking closely at the type of soaps she uses in the shower and how it relates to the break outs. Now, I make all natural soap and she has had no problems at all. Of course they have no detergents and are SLS free so she gets no harmful chemicals on her skin through soap. Don't bathe her everyday, two or three times a week should be sufficient. Hope this helps a little.
