Apple Cinnamon Squares

2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups brown sugar
cup margarine, softened
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon cinnamon
teaspoon baking soda
teaspoon salt
1 cup low fat sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
cup egg substitute
2 cups peeled and finely chopped apples

In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, margarine, and walnuts. Mix well. Press 2 cups of the mixture firmly into an ungreased 9 x 13 pan. Add remaining ingredients to mixture left in bowl and blend well. Spread mixture over crumb crust. Bake in preheated oven at 350F for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm sprinkled with powdered sugar or low fat whipped topping. Makes 20 squares.
