My midwife is seeing a client for homebirth who will eventually be on one of the Discovery Health shows. She just had her home visit which means she's already 36-37 weeks. I don't know how long it takes from birth to airing. On one hand, I don't think there's a better midwife anywhere to represent homebirth on national television. On the other hand, I hate those shows. I just keep thinking, what if she ends up with a transfer? The show will make it out to be a crazy scary emergency when it generally is not.

I am also interested to see if how she acts with cameras on is different than how she is when they're not. I mean, I'm sure her personality will be the same, but rather how she attends the birthing mom. She's normally very laid back and mostly hands off, but I can see needing to be "doing" something if I were being filmed.
