Looking at having some stitches redone

During Christian's delivery I tore my Labia and the stitches that were put in came out last week. Well, ever since then it has been beyond painful to walk and/or sit. I have "looked" and found the stitches were not in long enough for things to heal so I have a feeling the dr will want to redo them.

I'm also going to ask her about the body aches, chills and overall feeling like I have the flu I have been experiencing.

My appointment is at 2:15 and thankfully I found someone to watch the 2 oldest kids because I don't know exactly how things will go over with them there.

Popping in from Feb13 DDC. When I had my second child, I was on norco for pain. Anyways my point being, I didnt 'see' the classic signs of an UTI till it was too late (meaning it had entered my blood stream and I was sent to the ER in am ambulance) I had a fever, chills, I was soooo cold, my heart was racing, I couldnt stop shaking (I seriously thought I was dieing, I was 4 days post partum). In the ER it was clear I had let a little UTI get out of hand bc I was on pain meds. If you feel like you have the flu, call your doctor. A fever or any sort should be seen by a doctor. I had to be on antibiotics for 2 weeks, and it was hell to recover from that with a newborn breastfeeding. Goodluck and take care of yourself

Re: Looking at having some stitches redone
Long story short... I got a clean bill of health.

The gist of what is going on is the healing process for a labia tear is more painful than a vaginal tear. While yes I did have a stitch come out last week there still was a few left in place. My OB called in a more powerful numbing cream to help me thru the healing process.

The chills and cruddy feeling is just hormones balancing out. Being baby #3 it is magnified just like cramping compared to earlier pregnancies. And, with my nursing it is magnified even more. So the gist of everything is grin and bear it for a while.

I had a labial tear too. This is my second one, and they do suck! I'm almost 4 weeks PP and I can still feel my stitches though. So, I wonder if they aren't disolveable...
