Hi Ladies... I was just curious to know if anybody had some all natur gas relief ideas or tricks to help our little ones. My little man gets the wort gas pains. I have done warm compresses and the warm bath. I have also laid him across my lap belly down while patting and rubbing his back. The poor guy gets so unfomfortable until he passes the gas like a grown man...

He is on breastmilk with an occassionak supplument of formula but I am using the Similac Sensitive one. I do not eat gasy foods either because he already suffers... i feel so badly for the little guy...

Re: gas
I don't have too much advice, but my baby also seems very uncomfortable when she passes gas. She constantly cries and I feel bad when I can't seem to do anything to help her. The only other things I have tried are massaging her tummy in a clockwise circle and bicycling her legs. Sometimes it helps a little. I have read that they aren't necessarily in pain, even when it seems like they are. They're just uncomfortable because their little digestive systems aren't used to it yet and it feels weird to them, so that comforts me a tiny bit.

Re: gas
It is nice to hear it may be discomfort instead of pain...I feel so badly for him. I have tried the "bicycle" as well. I have not tried mylicon...he is only 3 weeks so I guess I am trying to hold out for his drs apointment next week before giving him anything..

Re: gas
I was giving Avery mylicon the first week. My sister is a pediatric NP and said it was safe to give so I went for it. Helped A LOT! And even now she lives the taste of it. The first few times I gave it to her she slept for an hour and a half to two hours. That was all the reassurance I needed that it helped.
