wipe warmer
did you find it useful or a waste of money?

Re: wipe warmer
We had one with Teegan. I used it for myself a couple weeks and that was it. It dried out our wipes and Teegan could care less if the wipes were warm or cold. But i know some parents love them! :)

Re: wipe warmer
Both of my babies hated cold wipes so a wipe warmer was a must! It gets really cold here in November too so I find it very useful.

Re: wipe warmer
We use cloth wipes so it keeps them warm and moist my kiddos love it and I'm not running to the sink every time I need to wipe them :D

Re: wipe warmer
We had one with my first DS it tended to dry out the wipes so we stopped using it after about a month. I don't use it with my second DS and won't use it for this baby girl.

Re: wipe warmer
I never used one. My daughter didn't care

Re: wipe warmer
Maybe mine was a dud, but it didn't work! All it did was dry out the wipes. If a wipe was cold I'd warm it in my hand.

Re: wipe warmer
I had one with my first and all it did was dry out the wipes. I won't be using one this time nor did I use it with my 3 boys.

I've always thought they were pretty silly. ;)

Re: wipe warmer
Waste! I have heard they dry out wipes and it's not good to get baby used o a warm wipe since you won't have a warmer when out and about!

Re: wipe warmer
I thought they were a waste, i take wipes out and lay them there so prepared and they would be cold by the time I used them. Basically as soon as they hit air they get cold IMO.

Books_kids July 15th, 2013 11:02 AM

I think it's a must. And from work experiences I've seen how adults respond to cold vs warm wipes so I choose warm for the baby when possible. In the summer it won't matter much.

Re: wipe warmer
I didn't have one with my first daughter but she was born in May. I considered getting one this time because it will be cold out, but I fear it just drying the wipes out (which I can see is a valid concern).

Re: wipe warmer
My daughter didn't care. So I never got one. I guess if your baby is super sensitive it might be good

Re: wipe warmer
No idea this existed!
I don't think I will as I won't be able to carry them everywhere I go so dont see the point in getting my baby used to it at home.

Re: wipe warmer
My daughter was a preemie and born in the winter. My hubby bought her one and I know she enjoyed not having freezing wipes on her bum. We didn't use it with my son and he did fine. I think really it's just a personal preference. I think you tend to use it more in one room and when they're small

Re: wipe warmer
My DS didn't care for cold wipes so we used ours the whole time. They require maintenance though. You have to keep the bottom pad moist so the heat doesn't dry everything out.
