Queencrafty's CD question made me think about using powder. ...can you use powder with cloth diapers??? Just wondering if I can use like regular powder on her bum:)

Re: powder
Yes, it washes out easily, even the talc based ones.

You may have seen/heard some stuff about talc being unsafe, it was a suspected carcinogen in the 1970s. But after very thorough studies were done it was determined not to be a carcinogen. However the all-natural-police decided that even though is proven very safe that it should still be considered toxic. Hence you can only find super artifically fragranced versions (which I hate). Sigh. Oh well.

Cornstarch is a base for many of the "natural" powders, however be aware that cornstarch feeds yeast so should not be used if there is a yeasty rash/thrush.

Re: powder
I have read that powder can be sensitive on their respiratory systems if they breath it in as you shake it on their bottoms. I do not use powder.
