I crafted a lengthy, informative, detailed response to this and was just about ready to post it when Caleb smacked the keyboard and it disappeared.

So, um, the gist of it was this!

Yes, you should eat! Not triple, but anywhere from 600 to 1000 calories more than usual, depending on your starting weight and health. It's important not to lose weight, and the quality of calories is more important than the actual numbers.

But honestly, even with a strict high-carb, lower protein, almost NO fat prescribed diet which started at 3000 calories and was increased from there... I didn't have any trouble eating everything (plus all the vegetables I wanted - they were free!! LOL) until the very end of the pregnancy. (I probably just ran out of room to put it all. LOL)

You'll be hungry, so eat! Try to make good choices most of the time, but indulge daily or at least almost daily. GROW babies GROW!!!
