Well, we only have 8 months over here and aren't even crawling yet (they just finally mastered sitting this week), so I know we are no where near the hardest yet. I think so far the hardest has probably been about 2-4 months. Once they started spending a significant amount of the day awake, but still didn't have the muscle control to really "play" much, there was a lot more crying going on in our house. They both wanted "entertained" and if it was 1 on 2 that was sometimes hard to do. After 4-5 months they really had a routine going and while they still have their fussy times of day, it is predictably before food or sleep and we rarely get the crying just to cry.
