Is it a choice that makes nursing more doable for you?

Is it something you feel you have to do due to low supply?

Do you want to mix feed or do you/did you want to exclusively nurse?

I supplemented my 1st when I was working & could not pump enough. When I was home with him I just nursed. Knowing what I know now, I never probably needed to supplement. It can just be really confusing when you are a new mom & there isn't much info about how many ounces they need, etc. Luckily for us though it went okay & we ended up making it all the way until he self weaned. So I pumped for around 14 months give or take (I am giving myself a bit of extra credit - I wasn't *really* pumping the first 6 weeks consistently because I was home - lol). At that point I weaned off day pumping, but continued to nurse in the evenings & all weekend.

With #2 I never supplemented, but I also was much more experienced & I was home.
