I'm so so sorry. Everyone takes different things to heal. For some, work would be a must so as to not dwell on the pain. I lost someone very close to me and going to work was easier than being alone with my thoughts. In this situation I think a week sounds ok. Just remember to cry and talk of your pain. Don't bottle it up. And if you need longer, take it. Just take care of yourself right now. Hugs and prayers.
