lurking. i was just on one of the vbac sites and if i understood it correctly, de facto is when they don't mention a ban on vbacs but there aren't any drs that will agree to doing one. that sounds like what your dr did. i just had a c-section with my last daughter, and i remember them saying "once a c-section always a c-section" but that was it. they never said anything about a ban. i found them on the "de facto ban" list too.
