Adoption/not producing are situations where breastfeeding isn't a choice (well, not usually). A mother who can bfeed and makes that choice to do so, it should be respected as that is best for child AND the father should be able to come around as much a possible, and (as previously stated) if Dad wants to take baby somewhere mom should go with him. I don't think she should be able to "restrain" dad from only seeing baby 1-2 hours every day. I think if he wants to go somewhere with baby then mom needs to respect that as well.
