Hello all,

I have a couple of questions about induction. I'm 36 weeks today and my blood pressure is beginning to run high. While I haven't been diagnosed yet with preeclampsia at my appointment today they said that im beginning to have protein in my urine. Basically the specialist says that within the next two weeks or so I'm going to need to be induced. My plan, was to have an all natural birth with my midwife in the hospital but my blood pressure doesnt seem to want to let me My questions are though what drugs do they use to induce you and should I be refusing any of their drugs? Also, if I need to be induced is there not a natural way to induce pregnancy?
I havent had a chance yet to speak with my midwife about the possiblility of her still delivering my baby...the specialist said that when you develop preeclampsia the midwife usually refers you to her collaborating physician to deliver you...hopefully though she'll be there (I dont really have a relationship with her collaborating doc). Any information or suggestions would greatly be appreciated....or someone who could point me in the right direction

Thanks
