Flunking coloring! So now we are going to have to send our kids to Sylvan to learn to color, right? I mean we are already sending them to learn scissor skills so they don't fail at that. Silliness, it is.

Really this reminds me of a poem my parents love. It talks about how the child loves to color and makes the trees purple and the grass red or whatever strikes his fancy but in school he is forced to make the trees and grass green and the flowers like lollipops because that's just the way it is done. It's a sad poem actually, all about making the kids homogenous rather than celebrating their differences.
