Yes, the rules are very strict when it comes to that. You have to be EBF, no pacifiers, bottles or any other type of supplement. It also helps if you have charted and used NFP or a similiar method in the past, and know the signs of when you'll ovulate. Otherwise, I wouldn't reccomend using it to prevent getting pregnant again. I'm not a big fan of hormonal birth control, but even more-so when breastfeeding, because so many women have problems with it, especially when given the wrong type. Condoms are a safe bet though, and won't harm your supply. Remember that you usually ovulate before getting your period (not always with your first PP period, but you should count on it just in case) so don't rely on that to let you know that you're fertile again. It's not unusual for women to get pregnant again before they get that first period back.
