suthernWVswthrt February 2nd, 2007 07:29 PM

It's really cute...if it's for a boy I prefer it spelled Kagen...if it's for a girl I prefer it spelled Kaygan.

Lash February 2nd, 2007 11:48 PM

It sounds like it's jumping on the -aidan bandwagon.

Katzchen February 5th, 2007 11:45 AM

I don't like it at all.

April62005 February 5th, 2007 06:25 PM

Kagen.. makes me think of Pagan and Kegels.

Either one.. not a very great reference.

I def don't lke it for a boy. .I think it sounds girly.

Lash February 5th, 2007 07:58 PM

does it change anyone's mind that its a traditional celtic name?

SchwarzeWitwe February 5th, 2007 08:12 PM

does it change anyone's mind that its a traditional celtic name?[/b]
No, it's not. It's tryndee masquerading as Irish. Traditional Irish would be something like Keegan.

ladyellise February 5th, 2007 10:42 PM

I like Keegan

*kyle* February 5th, 2007 11:48 PM

I also like Keegan much better than Kagan. It seems like a more solid name to me.

Even if Kagan is traditional Celtic, it still looks and sounds like one of the new made-up names that always end with the -en sound. A la Caden, Jaden, Zaden and whatever-else -en. They are not bad names per se, just trendy. Don't know if that's what you're aiming for.

Lash February 6th, 2007 09:57 AM

sorry but everything i read on it says its a gael name, dating back over a few hundred years

i'm sure i'll just be told how incredibly dumb and wrong i am, but that is what all my research has stated

Hey There February 6th, 2007 10:32 AM

You're not dumb. If you've done research and you think it's right, then what does it matter what other people say? Kagen is a last name of a politician where I am at and after hearing his name on every other commercial during the last election, I honestly don't like it. It's just a bad association for me. It's definitely not the worst name I've heard and if you like it, go for it!
